Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Building System Solutions, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for all marketing functions for the HVAC Systems products within Building System Solutions- Customer Solutions Group. This position will be the key contributor and manager for marketing specific development and implementation of strategic and tactical elements of the marketing plan.
 

Some Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinates and executes marketing management activities such as: product development, pricing, promotional plans, marketing development plans, annual business plans, analyzes monthly financial P&L reports & bookings, market specific launch and promotional campaigns.
  • Explores, researches, strategizes new and existing market segments for market & product development opportunities and creates business cases for new “market” initiatives.
  • Participates in company strategy development activities and vertical market initiatives.
  • Participates and engages with the various customer markets, sales organization supporting account selling initiatives, trains customer on sales tactics and product offerings.  Also works closely with the service department regarding after commissioning service plant and warranty management.
  • Lobby’s and participates in the development of industry standards, code requirements and keeps abreast of industry cost trends and competitor information.
  • Actively participates in trade shows & conferences on marketing perspectives or as a public speaker.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • University or CET designation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum five years technical or engineering experience. Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario is preferred.
  • A degree or other education in Marketing will be given preference with a minimum of five years sales or marketing experience in commercial construction or industrial industry. An MBA is highly preferred.
  • Experience with budget planning, marketing plans, business reporting and large account management experience.
  • Experienced public speaker.
  • Excellent computer and software skills (including excel, word, power point, and project manager).
  • Experience with the following: Hydraulic Building System Solutions, Heat Transfer, Automation / Controls, Bid/Spec and Design Build Market Place, ERP Business Management Software, International or Export Sales and on Product Development Teams.

Technical Sales Representative, Fire, Plumbing and Service Dealers

Job Summary:

Responsible for all facets of sale of Company Fire, Plumbing and parts / products outside of the Greater Toronto Area. The successful incumbent will help drive sales and service strategies through contractor and service dealers thereby achieving personal and Fire and Plumbing Cluster objectives. Assists in the development of customer support policies and practices to achieve “best in industry” capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinates all fire and plumbing sales. Additional territory and scope may be added at Company’s discretion.
  2. Grow the Service and Parts business in the territory, in conjunction with Plan/budget numbers assigned and targeting the customer list provided
  3. Assist customers and other Company sales staff with system product problems by providing value added solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  4. Responsible for co-ordination of product start-up with Company Service Department and local service support per applicable local fire and building codes.

  7. Maintains customer, service network, competitor records, and participates in Sales Planning Sessions. Provides guidance on all service/ application/ warranty issues involving sales, marketing, or service department as requested.
  8. Measures and reports daily/quarterly/annual reports as required by management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzes and reports customer feedback for continuous market share improvement.
  2. Fire and plumbing sales/quotation responsibility for territory. Supports special projects as assigned by management.
  3. Produces bi-weekly market activity reports, based on actuals including using tools provided

Experience and Background:

  1. Minimum 6 years’ experience in an industry related service or sales.

Position Summary

We are looking for a high calibre individual with previous experience in industrial products/systems, preferably from the HVAC or Building Controls industry with prior experience in Sales in South East Asia (SEA) countries.  This is a newly created position in Asia to capitalize on the market growth potential for Armstrong in the Systems Business in fluid management in HVAC applications in commercial buildings.

The individual will be responsible for growing the Armstrong’s Systems Business in SEA with sales in selected market segments and the appointment of right channel partners in SEA. Target market coverage in South East Asia are: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.

The individual will undergo intensive and hands-on training in China and other appropriate facilities of Armstrong. Key responsibilities
  • Execute the sales strategy for key SEA markets and segments to achieve the annual budget for bookings, sales, margins and specific Armstrong metrics

Main Purpose of the Role

Principal Accountabilities

  • Extract data from Armstrong’s Design Envelope products, plant control systems and other applicable systems via web connection.

Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

Responsible to provide field-based customer service, the US Field Service Specialist interacts with third party service reps and customers both on site and remotely, working in a hands-on field service environment with a strong commitment to customer service. Participates in development of the service organization as a key trainer to other service and sales representative firms, advocates for the customer within the organization and provides feedback from the field to factory QA, Engineering and Manufacturing to improve the products and processes and also support the sale and delivery of Armstrong products, service parts and building services.

Specific Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Manage customer issue resolutions, warranty transactions, maintenance of records and documentation of responses to customer inquiries.
  • Conduct on-site system startups for DE products, configured building equipment, controls systems, central plants, and remote monitoring for system performance assurance.
  • Analyze customer feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with engineering, technical support, project management, Sales and Marketing for product development activities and project specific initiatives.
  • Participate in the creation of new Service process maps, documents, forms and other elements important to the structure of the US Service organization.

Job Summary/Basic Functions:

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager, manages the overall customer sales & channel activities in the assigned geographical region to achieve revenue growth and profit objectives for the Commercial Design Build segment. DSM CDB is expected to expand and develop the appropriate channels to ensure market coverage for Armstrong solutions to the commercial HVAC, commercial Plumbing, and Service marketplace, and to ensure Consulting Engineer, Mechanical Contractor and Building Owner coverage and support. 

Specific Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Market coverage with appropriate channels to ensure segment growth, customer support, and the delivery of Armstrong Design Envelope Value Proposition.
  • Channel development to ensure market penetration, customer support, project winning, training, education and new customer acquisition to achieve sales objectives.
  • Responsible for Project Winning.
  • Direct engagement with regions top 10 projects.
  • Channel Playbook implementation for following markets - HVAC Commercial, Plumbing Commercial, Wholesale, Industrial, OEM, National Wholesale Catalogue, Repair, and Service.
  • Execute and Support Vertical Segment initiatives within Region.
  • Expansion of Service Dealer network & Service revenue growth.
  • Manage corporate programs within Region, such as: Service Dealer, Engineering Visit, DE Market Rally, Tier Training, Armstrong University, Hydronic School, and Fundamental Selling Skills.
  • Participates in monthly performance reviews as defined in the annual business plan and channel playbooks.
  • Interacts effectively with internal and external stakeholders and constituents.

Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering
  • PE, LEED A/P a plus.
  • Proven experience selling in the HVAC market.
  • HVAC Chilled Water Plant & System Application Expertise.
  • Experience selling to consulting engineers and owners.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years experience in sales management supervision.
  • Demonstrated PC proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing & presentation programs.
  • Work experience with Trane, Carrier,JCI or Daikin

Required Experience:

  • Preferably resides close to the Chicago, IL area.

USA Sales Manager, Data Center Sector

North Tonawanda, New York, USA

Position Summary

Reporting to the Global Manager Data Center Sector, Sales Manager USA, Data Center Sector is responsible for the USA Data Sector strategy execution, and Sales development of Armstrong products with a focus on Design Envelope solutions. This will include but not limited to, establishing a sector dedicated sales and service rep network, active engagement with industry/sector key players and management of the direct sales force assigned to the sector and development of sector specific sales and technical capabilities. 

Core Accountabilities:

  • Cooperate in developing sales strategy, channels to market and sales forecast
  • Ensure execution of marketing and sales strategy in USA
  • Establish and attain sales objectives for the Data Center Sector in the assigned area/country.
  • Maintain effective budgetary controls of sales expenses.
  • Manage direct accounts and independent reps/agents within the region
  • Develop inputs for new product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for each area in support of national objectives
  • Maintains and expands direct customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and industry influencers and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Oversees and administer all aspects of Company pertinent Representative Agreements; ensure adherence to Agreements through monthly monitoring of Territory performance.
  • Monitors sales channels performance on a monthly basis; develop and recommends corrective or supportive actions.
  • Interacts with company marketing (Channel) operatives to provide feedback on initiatives.
  • Maintains contacts with key complimentary sales organizations; maintain contacts with sales recruiters and placement professionals.
  • Prepare proposals/ quotations as required
  • Participate in trade shows including booth duties and setup
  • Prepare activity reports and sales reports as required by the reporting line manager
  • Evaluates new and existing Reps using Rep-matrix criteria.
  • Monitors competitive activities, report and recommend action plans.
  • Promote team work and maintain liaison with other departments across various geographies

Desired Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in related discipline strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of sales experience focused in HVAC and/or related industries.
  • Experience in tracking customer sales information, forecasts & reports using related software applications.
  • Technical/professional knowledge and skill required, engineering background highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
